The twentieth century is the age of information and communication technology. ICT spreads its network in every sector of life. Education is not out of it. The havoc exposure of digital movement results in a positive impact in India. But it is already known that the digital knowledge of the rural students is lower than that of urban students due to lack of digital exposure and facility. Therefore, the students of the rural area suffer from many communication gaps in different sections. Consequently, in this digital age, they lag behind the other urban students.
To Eliminate this problem, Jatindra Rajendra Mahavidyalaya has introduced the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) method for Teaching-Learning pedagogy with a Digital Board (Smart Board) operated by Android operating system. Jatindra Rajendra Mahavidyalaya, situated in a rural area, has adopted various digital techniques to develop the Digital Literacy and it encourages high quality thinking skills among the students.
The Institute follows ICT enabled teaching in addition to the traditional ‘Chalk-Talk- Walk Technique’. Subsequent efforts are taken by the Professors to provide e-learning atmosphere in the classroom:
Teachers are not only adapting to usage of ICT tools to provide quality education to students, but also students are guided to use ICT like PowerPoint presentation, Access the Google, Internet and e-mail etc. Thus, increasing use of ICT enabled tools is helping in effective teaching learning process and assisting students in various ways to enhance their knowledge.
